St Kitts and Nevis: The People’s Labour Party of St Kitts and Nevis has signed a contract with the people to deliver a secure future with a growing economy, protection for the people and more jobs. 

PLP stated, “Our Contract with the People clearly outlines how the PLP will protect the people during our coming term in office. It sets out how we will grow the economy and create more jobs. The PLP will always be accountable to you, the people. Our Contract with the People binds us together as we work to deliver a secure future for you and your family.” 

Jacqueline Bryan- Constituency #1 : 

  • My contract with you will grow our economy: by constructing a new food market with proper facilities, supporting local businesses by offering advice on how to write business plans and finding access to start-up loans.
  • My contract with you will protect the people: by developing an elderly day centre where loved ones can be cared for during the day, expanding the services offered at the Newtown Health Centre, re-establishing the General Sports Club and setting up a network of lawyers who will provide free legal advice.
  • My contract with you will create more local jobs: by building more homes and improving infrastructure, as well as upgrading the facilities for netball, tennis, baseball, cricket and basketball.

Nubian Greaux- Constituency #2  

  • My contract with you will grow our economy: by ensuring local engineers, contractors and heavy vehicle operators are fully involved in key projects. As an engineering contractor I know the challenges you face and I will fight for your involvement in projects.
  • My contract with you will protect the people: by constructing apartment buildings so that every young person can own a home, protecting the Peace Programme and enhancing it with skills training so that our youths can give back to our community.
  • My contract with you will create more local jobs: by encouraging local businesses to hire from within the constituency, fighting for targeted help for each job creating business, training our young people with the real skills they need to get a job, revitalising the agricultural sector and exploring new opportunities in the cannabis industry.

Akilah Byron-Nisbett- Constituency #3

  • My contract with you will grow our economy: by expanding agriculture and developing a facility at Palmetto Point for our fishers and by transforming my office into a community hub for training and classes.
  • My contract with you will protect the people: by providing a mentorship programme for students, completing the upgrades to JNF, the Cardin Home and continuing to fight for more homes and better roads.
  • My contract with you will create more local jobs: by providing a mentorship programme for students, completing the upgrades to JNF and the Cardin Home. I will further build out the road infrastructure in Trinity Heights, Shadwell West and the East West Farm Development, whilst resurfacing roads in Buckleys, Lime Kiln, Trafalgar and Camps.

Kendale Liburd- Constituency #4

  • My contract with you will grow our economy: with a centre for craft and tourism businesses in Wingfield Heights, provide tools and funding for our farmers across the constituency, and a fuel facility for fisher folks using the Old Road Fisheries.
  • My contract with you will protect the people: with at least 100 new homes in Challengers, Verchilds and Conyers, new sports leagues, a redeveloped Old Road Health Centre with 24 hour service
  •  My contract with you will create more local jobs: with a constituency wide employment programme, a learning resource centre in Old Road, and a long-term plan to transform education and opportunities in number 4; including upgrading our daycares, the nurseries in Old Road, Verchilds & Middle Island, and the Tyrrell Williams Primary & Verchild High School.

Stachio Williams- Constituency #5

  • My contract with you will grow our economy: by giving our entrepreneurs a strong voice with a business association and supporting businesses to grow with mentoring and access to finance.
  • My contract with you will protect the people: by establishing social programmes aimed at eradicating poverty, enhancing and protecting the peace and upgrading Pogson medical facility.
  • My contract with you will create more local jobs: by constructing a solar farm for reliable and cheaper power in Sandy Point, setting up a commercial park in High Point for shops and businesses and constructing a fishing facility in Fig Tree.

Dr. Marc Williams- Constituency #6

  • My contract with you will grow our economy: with a new commercial space in Saddlers for businesses to start up, new fisheries facilities in Dieppe Bay and a bus terminal in the north of the island to help people get to work.
  • My contract with you will protect the people: with a new health centre in Newton Ground, new coastal protections across the constituency and more housing so people have somewhere safe and secure to live.
  • My contract with you will create more local jobs: with a training centre in St Pauls to help people get the skills they need, more support for farmers and fishers so they can create jobs and more Government services based here in number 6.

Andrew “Talbo” Bass- Constituency #8

  •  My contract with you will grow our economy: by bringing land back into use in Keys and attracting more tourists to Cayon and Keys, with more support for businesses in Cayon.
  •  My contract with you will protect the people: by fixing the water supply so you can access safe, reliable water, by building a daycare centre for the elderly in Cayon and fixing the family park in Spooners.
  • My contract with you will create more local jobs: with more support for farmers so they can earn a good living, improving the roads so it’s easier to travel to work, and upgrading sports facilities so young people can pursue a career in sport.
