St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party launched two new candidates for the general elections that are expected to be held in 2025. While getting prepared for the general elections.

St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party launched two new candidates for the general elections that are expected to be held in 2025. While getting prepared for the general elections, the Labour party have named the two candidates after replacing Marcella Liburd from constituency number 02 and Steve Wrensford from Constituency number 04. 

After replacing the two candidates, the party have launched Marsha Henderson for constituency number 02 and Samal Duggins for constituency number 04. 

On Sunday, April 3, 2022, the workers of the part have launched a huge event in order to announce the name of the candidates and the address to the people of the Federation. The vent has been held at Cuna Parking Lot, Basseterre and attended by hundreds of Labour supporters.  

The former Prime Minister and former Party leader Dr Denzil L. Douglas, have launched the candidates. 

While expressing sadness over the political turmoil in the Federation, Dr Terrance Drew– a current leader of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party stated that the country is not happy with the unstable government as the authorities are working brutally by cutting off the electricity of some people even during the pandemic. 

“Where is the heart of these politicians, where is the compassion, where is the care, love, people shut down in their houses and can’t work, and you are putting them in darkness,” said Terrance Drew.

Outlining the concern over Citizenship by Investment Programmes funds, Dr Drew said that the government must use the funds to develop the people and to give people electricity. 

Further, Marsha Henderson, who is the new candidate for constituency 02, also expressed pleasure over the announcement and noted that she would work for the upliftment of the people and always dedicated all her strength to achieving the developmental targets in the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis.
