St Kitts and Nevis: The Ministry of Finance of St Kitts and Nevis announced the revised retail prices for Unleaded Gasoline. On Tuesday, August 23, 2022, the government issued a press release.
It stated that the general public is hereby advised of the following retail prices of Unleaded Gasoline as of August 24, 2022.
- The price of Unleaded Gasoline at the Delta Service Stations is $16.48 per gallon
- The price of Unleaded Gasoline at the SOL Service Stations is $16.08 per gallon
The government of St Kitts and Nevis advised the general public that these are the maximum retail prices at which Unleaded Gasoline can be sold at the respective service stations of the company.
The newly appointed administration of St Kitts and Nevis announced various initiatives, which include the dropping of the COVID-19 protocols, the launch of the new state-of-the-art machine in the hospitals etc.
The PM Drew-led SKNLP Cabinet has announced and reaffirmed its decision that the Basseterre High School will be reconstructed and renovated on the original allegedly contaminated site. This was announced in a Cabinet Briefing, which was issued on Monday, August 22, 2022.
Construction of the new Ultra Modern BHS had recently begun with 100s of persons applying for jobs and were being interviewed with scores already hired as land preparation and other site construction activities began over the summer.
The Original site of the BHS remains the heart of the controversy which spurred the proposed relocation of the school and construction of a new ultra modern high school. Hundreds of Teachers and School children were falling ill at the school and most if not all attributed their illness to issues at the school and its environs. CARPHA was engaged to locate the possible contamination that caused the illness but their findings were inconclusive. Erring on the side of caution the PM Harris Led Team Unity administration made the decision to build a brand new Ultra Modern High School at a new much larger site.
