St Kitts and Nevis elections 2022: Shawn Richards secures clean sweep victory in constituency 5

As per the statics, a PAM candidate becomes a parliamentary representative once again with 1025 votes. A total of 2093 were valid votes.

St Kitts and Nevis: Shawn K Richards- leader of the People’s Action Movement, secured a clean victory in constituency 5 in the general elections of St Kitts and Nevis held on August 5, 2022. 

As per the statics, a PAM candidate becomes a parliamentary representative once again with 1025 votes. A total of 2093 were valid votes. 

Kenneth Douglas of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party managed to secure eight hundred and twenty-five (825) votes and stood second. Stachio Williams of the People’s Labour Party gathered two hundred and forty-three 243 votes. 

As a result of many constituencies declared, the statics shows that St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party is winning the general elections in 2022. 

So far, Constituency #3 candidate- Konris Maynard has been declared the winner with 1,747 votes. His opponent candidates Akilah Byron-Nisbett of Peoples Labour Party and Kervin Freeman of Peoples Action Movement garnered 720 and 300 votes, respectively.

Further, Constituencies #4 has been swept by the candidate of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party. He is Samal Duggins and becomes parliamentary representative for the first time. He defeated his incumbent Lindsey Grant of the People’s Action Movement. 

All the three seats of the Nevis have been bagged by the three candidates of the Concerned Citizens Movement, which includes Mark Brantley from Constituency 9, Eric Evelyn from Constituency 10 and Alexis Jeffers from Constituency 11. 

Besides this, Timothy Harris and Dr Denzil Douglas have also managed to regain their constituencies 7 and 6, respectively, with a landslide victory.

Further, in constituencies 1, 2, and 8, final results are yet to come, but as per the so far statitics, St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party is leading with significant numbers. 

Till now, the official statics are making the government of St Kitts, and Nevis Labour Party and the party will secure a clear majority in the parliament with the winning of the 1, 2 and 8 constituencies. Â
