St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Terrance Drew walks to PM’s office, thanks people on his first day

On August 9, 2022, Dr Terrance Drew spent his first day on the Job as the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis. He walked to his new Government Headquarters office to thunderous applause and cheers from supporters who had gathered to share the moment.

St Kitts and Nevis: After being sworn in as the 4th Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis on Saturday, August 6, 2022, Dr Terrance Drew, accompanied by his soon-to-be sworn-in Cabinet colleagues and party supporters, was ceremoniously walked to his new office at Government Headquarters to officially begin his work on their first day on Job. 

On August 9, 2022, Dr Terrance Drew spent his first day on the Job as the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis. He walked to his new Government Headquarters office to thunderous applause and cheers from supporters who had gathered to share the moment.

Through his social media, he penned down a message for the people of St Kitts and Nevis while expressing plesaure on starting his first day on the Job. 

While sending love to constituency 8, PM Drew said, “I want to thank you all from the depths of my heart for sending me to Parliament to work on your behalf, and thanks for making me your fourth Prime Minister of St.Kitts-Nevis and the first from St. Peter’s. Without you this would not have been possible. Thank you for your stronf support in the August 2022 elections.

He and every elected representative of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party held thank you round in St. Peter’s of Constituency #8. He promised that other areas throughout the Constituency would be visited this week.

Dr Terrance Drew outlined the significance of good governance and stated that Team A is here to serve the nation. 

“With a good governance agenda for the ‘Good That We Can Do’, the A-Team is here to serve our nation. Citizens and residents of St.Kitts-Nevis and Nevis, you have sent us to work on your behalf, and that we shall do with integrity, transparency and accountability,” said the prime minister. 

He also extended gratitude to people who came out (Tuesday August 9 2022) to show their support on day one as they ceremoniously entered the halls of Government Headquarters on Church Street in Basseterre.

“I hereby extend thanks to all of you who continue to give your support to our team via text messages, phone calls and social media outreach. Day one of doing the people’s business. We have been ready.”
