St Kitts and Nevis: The Ministry of Health has confirmed the fourth COVID-19 related death in the Federation on Wednesday.
While providing an update, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Hazel Laws, said that a person aged 59 years died in the Federation on August 19, 2021. Whereas the case was under investigation by police and an autopsy report was requested, it was not included in the total COVID-19 related deaths.

Only fully vaccinated can have electronic vaccination cards
Ministry of Health, Akilah Byron-Nisbett, on Wednesday emphasised that persons who are not fully vaccinated will not be able to receive the electronic version of the vaccination card. “You will need to have both jabs in your arm before you can receive the electronic version of your card,” said the Minister of Health.
She also added that the Government would not only provide electronic cards, but would also provide a physical copy of the document stating the vaccination against COVID-19 as many people are not entirely comfortable with technology. So the Government will continue to provide physical cards.
She further added that Government is looking to identify the location where the information can be given to the people of Nevis, so that they can receive the electronic version of their vaccination card. Ministry of health is already in consultations with their counterparts in Nevis.
The Government will only be providing the service at the ICT centre up until Friday to issue electronic vaccination card. In case, people who want the service would have to reach out to the new venue to receive their card. The government would soon announce the new venue.
