The government of St Kitts and Nevis lowered the Excise Tax on gasoline from 2.25 to 0.95, making the cost per gallon of gasoline cheaper.

St Kitts and Nevis: The government of St Kitts and Nevis lowered the Excise Tax on gasoline from 2.25 to 0.95, making the cost per gallon of gasoline cheaper. 

Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew took to social media and shared the good news with the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis. He said that the measure will reduce the prices of gasoline. It will further decline the burden on the pockets of the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis. 

He said that the government of St Kitts and Nevis has been making efforts to benefit its citizens and work on the path of “A New Day A Better Way” approach. 

PM Terrance Drew emphasised that the government under St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party has adopted innovative measures to pave the path of development. The step is marked as the commitment of the government to the upliftment of socio-economic aspects. 

He said that the government moves with the motto, “Country Above Self”, to create a better nation which is filled with opportunities and possibilities. 

PM Terrance Drew said, “Let us be more compassionate in carrying out our duties. Let us be mindful of our country’s motto, “Country Above Self”, as we continue to work towards creating a better nation.” 

Getting “People First Always”, the government of St Kitts and Nevis will enhance the nation for the betterment. 

Earlier, the government of St Kitts and Nevis provides financial ease with the granting of Concessions on supplies for the upcoming school term. He said that there will be no taxes on the importation of school supplies up to Saturday, 30th September 2023.  

Apart from that, he also announced something good for vendors. He said that For all the vendors who are plying their trade, the government is seeking to provide permanent vending areas for you. However, in the meantime, we will allow you time and provide temporary vending areas for the vendors.
