St Kitts and Nevis: Caribbean Galaxy named title sponsor of Junior Carnival- Sugar Mas 51

Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate Corporation has come on board as the Title Sponsor of the Junior Carnival of St Kitts and Nevis called Sugar Mas 51

St Kitts and Nevis: Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate Corporation has come on board as the Title Sponsor of the Junior Carnival of St Kitts and Nevis called Sugar Mas 51. After being absent for two (2) years due to Covid 19, the parade will be staged in Basseterre on Saturday, December 31, 2022.

The handing over ceremony took place on Friday, November 18, when Ms Vicky Wenhang, representing the company’s CEO, handed over EC$50,000 to Chairperson Shannon Hawley of the St Kitts Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC).

Wenhang indicated that it was Galaxy’s pleasure to come on board for the first time in support of National Carnival and youth development. Caribbean Galaxy is the developer of the recently opened Ramada By Wyndham St Kitts Resort, located in St. Pauls, St Kitts.

SKNNCC Chair, Shannon Hawley shared her enthusiasm when welcoming yet another Platinum Sponsor for Sugar Mas 51. She expressed her satisfaction that the Junior Parade will be prominently featured because of the sponsorship of Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate Corporation.

Junior Carnival returns to Sugar Mas in St Kitts and Nevis with an improved format featuring Junior Folklore, Majorettes, Junior competition winners, Bold Carnival’s inaugural presentation dubbed ᖴIᖇᔕT ᑕᒪᗩᔕᔕ ᗰᗩᔕ and a soon to be launched troupe, ᗷEᗩᑌTY ᗩᑎᗪ TᕼE ᗷEᗩᔕT. It will form part of the Street Activities component which was missing in 2020 and 2021.

The head piece depicts a beautiful cultural story about the Mansion Bull. The flowers and braids symbolize twists in the events of the bull’s encounter with his master.

The vibrant colors and rhinestones capture the richness and popularity of this iconic folkloric figure that still electrifies our hearts when we hear the beat of the drum as well as the sound of the bull and barking dogs or when we see the dance by the doctor.

Teron ‘Invincible’ Webbe will be competing for the final time in the Junior Calypso Monarch Competition scheduled for FRI. DECEMBER 9.
