St Kitts and Nevis 18 students receive Taiwan scholarships for tertiary-level education

Eighteen (18) students from St Kitts and Nevis were presented with scholarships to pursue tertiary-level education at universities in the Republic of China (Taiwan).

St Kitts and Nevis: Eighteen (18) students from St Kitts and Nevis were presented with scholarships to pursue tertiary-level education at universities in the Republic of China (Taiwan). 

The scholarship was awarded during a ceremony held at Palm’s Court Gardens today, Friday, August 11, 2023.

Of the eighteen students, eleven were recipients of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) scholarships. Eleven persons received the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) scholarships:

Alaynah Mitchell, J’Dcea Liburd, Jedidiah Richards, Kazrano Gumbs, Michael Warner, Vanshea Powell, Abigail O’Flaherty, Kevicia Gumbs Paul, Desmond Maynard, Annand Doodnauth and Jahmarley Riley.

Seven received the International Cooperation and Development Fund Scholarships (ICDF):

Tyrique Jeffers, Jolander Isaac, Zequan Brownbill, Howard Liburd, Caniqua Elliot, Denrick Jeffers and Sheyjona Bass.

Geoffrey Hanely- Deputy Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis extended congratulations to the 18 Scholarship Awardees. These students are on their way to realize academic success compliments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the International Cooperation and Development Fund. 

“Congratulations to the 18 Scholarship Awardees who are on their way to realize academic success compliments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF),” he added. 

 The students from St Kitts and Nevis will pursue tertiary-level education at universities in the Republic of China (Taiwan). He wished these scholarship recipients the very best and encouraged them to continue to make their nation proud. 

Further, Denzil Douglas- Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, also extended CONGRATULATIONS to the Eighteen (18) students. He said, “The students who received scholarships to pursue tertiary level education at universities in the Republic of China (Taiwan).” 

“We wish all of our Scholarship Awardees well as they pursue their studies, and make your family, community and country proud, “he added. 

The scholarship will provide the opportunity for the students to study for higher education. It will enhance their educational growth and pave the path of their carrier.
