SKN Patriots commences CPL 2021 with a kick-off win over Barbados Royals

A phenomenal 115 run partnership in 70 balls between DJ Bravo and Sherfane Rutherford secured the win for the Patriots with hatching the highest total of the tournament so far by 175/5.

Taking full advantage of the field first, the Royals placed Evin Lewis and Devon Thomas as its openers in the first 3 overs before Oshane Thomas bowled Chris Gayle to leave the Patriots staggering at 38/3 at the end of the powerplay.

With his natural vigour bowling, Oshane Thomas was to strike once more, removing Asif Ali in the 8th over as his hostile spell resulted in exemplary figures of 3/22 from his four overs. The Captain of Patriots – Bravo, came after the fall of 4 wickets aftermath making mindblowing innings with Rutherford to secure the win for the team.
