Roseau, Dominica: Dominica has remained one of the ideal tourist destinations in the Caribbean due to magnificent beauty and giggling events such as Carnivals. Recently, the country has wrapped up the Real Mas 2023 with music, dance, tradition, national costumes, and colourful displays in celebration of MasAnLawi.

Look at the three factors: How Tourism in Dominica has been on the rise

How Dominica celebrates The Real Mas 2023?

After two years, the country finally got to celebrate The Real Mas Mas An Lawi in Dominica. Dominica’s #carnival spirit is alive and well! Share the joy! Tag yourself and your friends!

Sunrise 2023 was the place to be this Carnival season. The recapvideo to relive the energy of the Boyoun Boss ASA BANTAN, Dominica’s Signal Band and Trilla-G, the infectious rhythms of Mr. Killa, the #iconic The Cut Creator DJ Outkast, Reo The Fresh Prince of Bouyon, Dj Sleem, Unstoppable Shax, Major Mystic, and so much more.

Tewe Vaval – The End of Carnival. Dominica’s carnival season has come to a close with a celebration of #fire and dancing at the Kalinago Territory.

The Traditional Jouvert, T-shirt band, Costume band, Lapo Kabwit, Traditional Characters, and more paraded through Dominica’s streets. Visitors and locals alike had the opportunity to experience their culture’s distinct colours, costumes, and festivities, which energized the streets. Dominica, and continue to promote Dominica’s values and culture!

Carnival 2023 in Dominica was beyond fantastic. Thank you to all the hard-working men and women behind the scenes. Thank you to all the patrons who came out to participate. Special thanks to the sponsors #FlowDominica #FineFoodsInc #vibesradio #PetroCaribe. It was an event free of violence or incidents, for which the government is grateful.

The visitors surely made a royal mess in the CrazyMess t-shirt band with our water blasters, paint, foam and water truck. Don’t miss out again on this epic experience with the Bouyon King Amnesia Carnival Dominica Asa Bantan in the ultimate wet fete on the road.

Crazymess t-shirt band was another fun event despite the hiccups of 3 burnt generators back to back. But with Amnesia, nobody can stop Bouyon.…we quickly switched to a brand new truck and sound system in minutes. Special thanks to our patrons for your understanding.

Tourism in Dominica has been on the rise due to such events and the exceptional beauty of the country. Tourism in Dominica has been on the rise, with 146 cruise calls as of March 7th, 2023. This is great news for our vendors, tour operators, taxi drivers, and overall Dominica’s economy.

Last Friday, for example, three cruise ships were on the island. MSC Seaside had 5429 passengers, MV Enchanted Princess had 3568, and Silver Dawn had 596! The images below depict the view from the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth.

Dominica has a lot to offer visitors, from stunning natural attractions like Boiling Lake and Trafalgar Falls to exciting cultural experiences such as the Kalinago Experience! So, if you’re planning a trip, make Dominica your next destination.
