Saint Lucia is set to host the 2022 WINLOTT INC WICB Under-15 Cricket Tournament from December 10 to 17, 2022. Around eighteen (18) Under-15 cricketers represent the country in the tournament.

Castries, Saint Lucia: Saint Lucia is set to host the 2022 WINLOTT INC WICB Under-15 Cricket Tournament from December 10 to 17, 2022. Around eighteen (18) Under-15 cricketers represent the country in the tournament. 

The Ministry of Youth Developmental and Sports has released the names of eighteen (18) Under 15 Cricketers to represent Saint Lucia in the 2022 WINLOTT INC WICB Under 15 Cricket Tournament. 

The players named are as follows:

  1. Theo Edward is from Saint Lucia Sports Academy 
  2. Johnathan Daniel is from St Mary’s College
  3. Zanacki Louis is from Saint Lucia Sports Academy
  4. Bjorn Fanis is from Leon Hess Comprehensive
  5.  Tyler Venner is from St Mary’s College
  6. Jaden Khodra is from Corinth Secondary
  7. Aaron St Clair is from Leon Hess Comprehensive
  8. Aiden Scholar is from Leon Hess Comprehensive
  9. Roystan Fannis is from Corinth Secondary
  10. Sheldon Willie is from St Lucia Sports Academy
  11. Leon Alexander is from Leon Hess Comprehensive
  12. Kaylum Neptune is from V Fort Comprehensive
  13. Cody Fontinelle is from Micoud Secondary
  14. Jaheem Simeon is from Corinth Secondary
  15. Christian Peter is from Choiseul Secondary
  16. Kaylum Thomas is from Castries Comprehensive
  17. Jeanille William is from Choiseul Secondary
  18. Denzie Jn Paul is from Choiseul Secondary

The final National team of thirteen (13) and five (5) reserve players will be named following the training program of December 3 and 4, 2022. 

The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports of Saint Lucia extended greetings and stated, “Congratulations to you, your parents/guardians and your school on your selection.” 

The regular Saturday morning, Northern Cluster Grassroots Cricket Programme continued on November 26, 2022 with yet another fruitful training session at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.

Fifty eight (58) young male and female cricketers attended the cricket skill development and enhancement session.

The four (4) hour long session took the following format:

* Prayers & Welcome etc.

* General Warm up activities

* Physical Conditioning (Shuttle runs).

* Introduction to hard ball through fielding, catching and backing up with age group 4-10 years.

* Fielding, catching and target throwing.

* Nets.

* Mini cricket match amongst younger group.
