Castries, Saint Lucia: The Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. will once more celebrate the month of November as Women’s Football Month in Saint Lucia. The month is used to showcase and bring to the fore Women’s Football and Women who participate and contribute towards the development of Girls and Women through their participation in Football related programs and activities.
As such, the Women’s Football Task Force has recommended a program of activities which the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. has adopted and is now working towards its successful implementation.
To this end, please find the proposed program of activties for the month:
To this end, the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. invites Media personnel to its Press Conference during which it will unveil the program of activities for the observance of the 2022 Women’s Football month.
This year’s program was developed by the National Women’s Football Task Force Chaired by Ms. Examine Philbert.
The Press Conference takes place on Monday 14th November 2022 from 10:30 am at its Headquarters in La Clery.
The Saint Lucia Football Association now take a look at the results of the Ongoing School Sports competitions Under 19 Football Saint Lucia Sports Academy, continues their dominance in the competition inflicting a 8 – 0 victory over Sir Ira Simmons Sec. School.
This they achieved with braces from Traylon Henry 4th and 29th min, Eymani Butcher 30th and 72nd min, and Nathaniel Noel in the 39th and 58th min. The others were scored by Kyle Jn. Baptiste1st and Olavic Blackman in the 72nd min.
In another game at the SAB Playing Field, Castries Comprehensive, with goals from Jaquan Sam 10th min, Lit Isaac 27th, Johran Phillip 68th and Cherquan St. Croix 76th min outplayed Corinth Secondary 4 – 0.
The day’s final game was a very interesting and exciting one, with the Patricia D. James Secondary School edging out St. Mary’s College 1 – 0.
The lone goal was scored by Marcus Harrow, a penalty in the 66th min.
One game was played in the SLFA Inc. Island Premier Cup on Thursday, 10th November 2022, at the Desruisseaux Playing Field.
In the lone encounter, Gros Islet secured a convincing 6 – 1 victory over Desruisseaux. This they achieved with braces from Jahlil Evans in the 21st and 61st min, with the former being a penalty Troy Greenidge in the 87th and 2nd min of added on time, and the others from Aramis Gilbert 48th and Elijah Louis in the 90th min.
Desruisseaux secured a consolation goal from the boots of A. Francis in the 1st min of added-on time.
