Saint Lucia to celebrate 30th anniversary of World Travel Awards, set to host ceremony

Saint Lucia is all set to host World Travel Awards Caribbean and The Americas Ceremony 2023 on August 26, 2023.

Castries, Saint Lucia: Saint Lucia is all set to host World Travel Awards Caribbean and The Americas Ceremony 2023 on August 26, 2023. The announcement was made by World Travel Awards (WTA) and stated that leading travel industry figureheads across the globe will be part of the red-carpet reception

The award ceremony will be taken place at Sandals Grande Saint Lucian and form the climax of World Travel Week 2023. The event will celebrate the global travel and tourism sector with a series of events for a week-long. During the event, the thought leaders of the industry will be gathered and hold a discussion on significant matters of concern. 

One of the events, named the World Travel Awards winners’ ceremony, will feature the President’s Reception. Graham Cooke, Founder of World Travel Awards, expressed pleasure in announcing Saint Lucia as the host country for the Caribbean and Americas Gala Ceremony 2023, where they celebrate its landmark 30th anniversary. 

He added that Saint Lucia will be a significant assistance in the recovery of travel and tourism in the Caribbean and will play a major role in their anniversary tour. Graham Cooke lauded World Travel Awards and said that it has managed to maintain its position as the industry leader for the past 30 years. It has always set the efficient benchmark for making great efforts in travel and tourism and has remained successful in proving itself as the global leader. 

The event will discuss ways to improve those organizations spearheading the growth of the region’s travel and tourism sector between the most senior travel industry figureheads across the Caribbean and The Americas. 

Saint Lucia, which is blessed by nature, offers breathtaking beauty, with volcanic mountains magically rising from the clear blue sea, paradise beaches, lush forests and rich cultural heritage.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture & Information of Saint Lucia- Ernest Hilaire, expressed pleasure in hosting the World Travel Awards Caribbean & The Americas Gala Ceremony 2023. He said that this is a great opportunity for them to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the World Travel Awards. 

Lorine Charles-St Jules, the CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, also stated that the step will help to boost the tourism sector of the country and assist in fulfilling their goals of achieving excellence in the hospitality industry.
