Saint Lucia: The Cricket Skill Development Sessions/Matches in the 2023 Northern Cluster Grassroots Summer Cricket Camp concluded on Monday, August 28 in Saint Lucia.

It is due to a 30 over a side match at the Gros Islet Playing Field, with the teams led by Tyrel Chicot and Ryan Goodman.

Tyrel Chicot’s team batting first made 155 all out in 22.3 overs, with skipper Tyrel Chicot making 27, Noel Leo 25, Darvin Forde 12 and Jayxan Justin 11.

The wicket takers for Ryan Goodman’s team were; Daniel Lorde with 3 for 8 in 1.3 overs, Zhanni Joseph 3 for 31 in 5 overs, Leon Alexander 2 for 28 in 6 overs and 1 wicket each to Royce Paul and Bjorn Fanis.

In reply, Ryan Goodman’s finished on 160 for 6 in 29.2 overs, with Captain Ryan Goodman leading the way with a well played 71, inclusive of 8 fours and 4 sixes.

Other useful scores came from Roystan Fannis with 17 and 11 each to Royce Paul and Kamanie Laure.

The wicket takers for Tyrel Chicot’s team were; skipper Tyrel Chicot, Darvin Forde, Amari Venner, Isaiah Jones and Ashston Alexander with one wicket each.

West Indies Under 19 World Cup player (2022) right-arm fast bowler Saint Lucian Mc Kenny Clarke made his Caribbean Premier League (CPL) debut on Saturday, August 26 2023 for Saint Lucia Kings (SLK) versus Trinbago Night Riders in Saint Kitts.

Clarke bowled one over for 11 runs and also took a superb catch, to dismiss Nicholas Pooran for no score off the bowling of Roston Chase. Before the start of the match, Clarke was handed his SLK cap by coach, Daren Sammy.
