Castries, Saint Lucia: The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports of Saint Luca shared an update on the 2022 Blackheart Knockout Football Tourny. 

Through their social media, they also shared the schedule of the tournament and stated: 

2022 BLACKHEART KNOCKOUT FOOTBALL TOURNY SCHEDULE

● Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25: Playoff – Mabouya Valley

● Wednesday, September 28: Press Launch and Fixtures Draw – Gros Islet Human Resource Development Centre (GIHRDC)

● Saturday, October 1, Sunday, October 2 and Monday, October 3: Tournament – Mabouya Valley

● Wednesday, October 5 and Saturday, October 8: Soufriere Mini Stadium

● Sunday, October 9: Second Round – Mabouya Valley

● Saturday, October 15: Semifinals – Daren Sammy Cricket Ground

● Saturday, October 22: Final – Daren Sammy Cricket Ground

MYDS is always keen to host various kinds of sports tournament which includes cricket, football and many more. 

Earlier, they welcome back Windward Islands Under 19 players TARRIQUE EDWARD, NOEL LEO and KEVIN GASSIE from the CWI Regional Rising Stars Under 19 Male Cricket Tournament which ended in St Vincent & the Grenadines on Friday August 26.

On the same flight was St Lucians on the Windward Islands Under 15 Cricket Team who completed the CWI Regional Rising Stars Under 15 boys Cricket Tournament which ended on August 26 in Grenada.

The players are JOHNATHAN DANIEL, LEON ALEXANDER, TYLER VENNER and SKIPPER THEO EDWARD.

Not in the photo are AARON ST CLAIR and CODDY FONTINELLE.

They also extended greetings to Tarrique Edward, MVP of the Cricket West Indies U19 Men’s 3-Day Tournament. Tawo had 15 wickets at an average of 14.87 and 159 runs at an average of 33, also taking five catches.

There were also greetings to team Saint Lucia on winning the pride of the Caribbean U-17 tournament, which was held in Antigua. New Generation had one representative on that team, namely, Rickelme’ Lionel. He finished the tournament with no goals but did contribute four assists.
