Castries, Saint Lucia: South Castries registered back to back victories over Gros Islet in game #2 and #3 as the 3 match T 10 series concluded on Sunday May 7 at the Gros Islet Playing Field of Saint Lucia.
In game #2, Gros Islet batting first made 107 for 6 in their 10 overs with Tarrique Edward making 42 not out, Jard Goodman 31 and Darvin Forde 12 not out.
The wicket takers for South Castries were, Ashton Alexander with 2 for 9 in 2 overs and 1 wicket each to Joshua Mann, Kenrick James and Kyle Adonis. In reply, South Castries finished on 108 for 5 in 7.4 overs with Noel Leo smashing 75.
The wicket takers for Gros Islet were, Tarrique Edward with 2 for 17 in 2 overs, Selena Ross with 2 for 24 in 2 overs and Leon Alexander 1 for 7 in 2 overs. In Game #3, Gros Islet again batting first made 109 for 4 in their 10 overs with Khan Elcock making 43, Kimani Melius 21, Ryan Goodman 18 not out, and Tyrel Chicot 15 not out.
The wicket takers for South Castries were Kenrick James with 2 for 4 in 1 over and 1 wicket each to Xavier Gabriel and Ashton Alexander.In reply, South Castries finished on 113 for 1 in 6:5 overs, with Xavier Gabriel making a rapid 67 not out in only 21 balls and Malcom Monrose 32 not out. Tarrique Edward was the lone wicket-taker for Gros Islet.
Earlier, Gros Islet secured the victory of eight runs in the T10 series of cricket matches against South Castries. Till now, South Castries won two matches against Gros Islet, while the latter secured one match victory against the former.
