Castries, Saint Lucia: Saint Lucia is all set to host the 2023 National Carnival Queen Pageant as one of the prime events of their CARNIVAL slated for July 1 to July 19, 2023. The Tourism Ministry announced the criteria and requirements of the shows.
The Journey to the 2023 Carnival Queen Crown Begins:
Eligibility Requirements: Contestants must:
- Be a citizen of Saint Lucia
- Be between 18 and 26 years old
- Not be married and have never been married
- Not be pregnant and have never borne a child
- Possess a minimum of 5 CSEC passes at grade 1, 2 and/or 3 (including English and Mathematics)
- Be able to perform a talent of a high standard
- Be a naturally born female
Supporting Documents:
- Completed registration form (Please collect the registration package from Cultural
- Development Foundation [CDF] or Carnival Planning and Management Committee) or download at www.carnivalsaintlucia.com
- Certified copies of academic certificates
- Two (2) character references (one must be an academic reference)
- Three (3) photographs one 8 X 10 colour photograph (portrait)one colour photograph in swimwear; one colour photograph (full body, no makeup, no jewelry, hair pulled back)
- Biography (100-200 words)

With a little over 6 months to go, Saint Lucia Carnival 2023 looks promising as band launch season goes into full swing. Four major bands have released their theme for the highly anticipated festival are as follows:
- Fuzion Mas- Fuzion FM (2 sections have been revealed)
- Just 4 Fun Carnival Band – Into the Beyond
- Legends Carnival Band – The Essence of Time
- Red Carnival- Untamed
The Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Creative, Industries, Culture, and Information, in partnership with the Cultural Development Foundation (CDF) and the Carnival Planning and Management Committee, announced the dates for Saint Lucia Carnival 2023 and unveiled the calendar of activities on Wednesday.
By being one of the first islands to launch a compelling lineup for Carnival 2023, the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority also joined in the announcement as we led with a media launch on October 6 in Miami, Florida. This initiative serves as part of their strategy to capture the early gains from the pent-up demand for the next staging of the Saint Lucia Carnival.
