Saint Lucia Robotics Team to participate in First Global Competition
Castries, Saint Lucia: The robotics team of Saint Lucia is all set to participate in the prestigious First Global Competition in Singapore. The event will take place from October 7 to 10, 2023.
The aim of the global competition is to showcase the innovation and robotics excellence. It will serve a perfect platform for some of the brightest young minds from around the world to show their talents in the field of technology.
An annual international robotics event dubbed “The First Global Competition” encourage the young innovators. The event is the celebration of the spirit of cooperation and collaboration of the technology at the global stage.
More than 190 countries will participate in the event, providing a platform to the thousands of the students who have excelled in the field in their respective country. The competition will mark as the thrilling game, focusing on the significance of the renewable energy and mitigation of the carbon footprints.
Saint Lucia will be one of the participating countries, consisting a tram of five people between the ages of 13 and 18 years. The participants have been diligently preparing for the event since July. They have been trained under the expert guidance and mentorship of Orbtronics, who is a renowned leader in robotics education and technology.
Orbtronics has played a key role in strengthening the capabilities of the team according of the prestigious competition. It will remain great guiding force behind the team, making them to excel in the field.
Keeghan Patrick, one of the directors of Orbtronics, said that they feel honoured to train these young minds. While expressing pleasure, he said that this was exciting to work with these five enthusiastic participants.
He lauded their innovation and said that their work will serve a source of true inspiration for others seeking their career in the field of technology. He also expressed his confidence in the team and said that they will make Saint Lucia proud at the global stage.
The government of Saint Lucia invited the public to encourage to follow the journey of the team at the First Global Competition. It also extended gratitude to the generous sponsorship of Baywalk Shopping Mall and the Saint Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC).
