Saint Lucia named 18 athletes to participate in Concacaf Boys U 15 football tournament 

The Saint Lucia Football Association has named an 18-man team to participate in the Concacaf Boys Under 15 football tournament scheduled for Curacao from the 6th – 13th of August.

The Saint Lucia Football Association has named an 18-man team to participate in the Concacaf Boys Under 15 football tournament scheduled for Curacao from the 6th – 13th of August.

The team will be participating in League B- Group F together with Barbados, Guadeloupe and Guyana and will be captained by Justin Augustin of Micoud with Alex Devaux of Castries as his deputy.

The team leaves the island on Friday 4th August.

The team will be managed by Shane Paul, with Ryan Desir, Head Coach, Sommers Augustin Asst. Coach, Bernard President Goal Keeping Coach with Dr. Ravie Chiquot as the Physician.

Their scheduled matches are as follows: 

  • St. Lucia vs. Guadeloupe – 6th August – 6.00 pm
  • St. Lucia vs. Barbados – 7th August – 4.00 pm
  • St. Lucia vs. Guyana – 8th August – 6.00 pm

The SLFA Inc. Premier Cup kicked off on Wednesday 2nd August with matches islandwide. Over at Dennery, with goals from Troy Greenidge 3rd, Sebastien Ribot 17th and Rickelme Lionel in the 2nd min of added on time, Gros Islet defeated Vieux Fort South 3 – 1, whose lone goal was score by Donavan Perpie in the 10th min.

In the other game played at the venue Mabouya Valley defeated Laborie 2 – 0 with goals from Canius Sandiford 31st and Shaheid Edwin in the 65t min. 

Down at Desruisseaux, Canaries despite opening the scoring by Steven Octave in the 5th min, lost to Desruisseaux 2 – 1, whose goals were scored by Stevie Henry and Jessie James in the 63rd and 79th min, respectively.

Across at the Soufriere Mini Stadium, La Clery enjoyed a 2 – 0 victory over Vieux Fort North with goals From Jermie Abraham and Yanic Noel in the 33rd and 63rd min, respectively.

In the other encounter, Dennery defeated Choiseul 4 – 1. They got their goals from Shaquille with a brace in the 77th and 81st min and the others from Kurt Frederick 67th and Alk Marquis in the 71st min. Darrel Francis scored for Choiseul in the 14th min.
