Castries, Saint Lucia: A 10-year-old student of Plain View Combined School in Vieux Fort who is running a cheesecake enterprise- “That Girlz” has turned out to be a great inspiration for many in the business world across Saint Lucia. Named Kayode, a little boy has been helping his self-employed mother to uplift their business.

Kayode has been on the road with his “homemade” cheesecake treats for just about two years now, quickly outdoing his mother’s expectations of him simply serving as an Assistant.

Now Kayode is the full-fledged Salesman of an enterprise that boasts some twenty flavours of cheesecakes. According to his Mom his plan is to eventually take control of the business ensuring that its full potential is maximized.

His Mom points out that all profits from the sale of the cheesecakes go towards his savings and education. She runs a local bakery and fast food outlet in the southern town of Vieux Fort. She encourages him to re-invest in the cheesecake business.

Young Kayode has been able to do a good job at managing his school work and cheesecake enterprise as his priorities. His mom also outlined the skills of his child which are as follows:

  • Kayode is among the top 3 in his class at Plain View Combine.
  • He has a humble and respectable demeanour.
  • He has a shrewd business mind who understands the basics of customer relations.
  • He is a determined and disciplined spirit.

Why That Girlz

His mom explained the reason behind the name of her enterprise and said during her earlier sales hassles in the town of Vieux Fort, she was repeatedly referred to as “Dat Girl” as she was not from the southern town. The decision was made to adapt a modification to the name of the cheesecake small business.

A child has inspired many in Saint Lucia as people extended greetings to the mother for such a lovely child who has been thinking great for his productive life. Many also said that they have tried that cheesecake and lauded their products. People expressed wishes to visit the enterprise and extended blessings to the child and his mother.
