Saint Lucia Labour Party pays homage to PM Philip J Pierre for serving 25 years as MP

The Saint Lucia Labour Party celebrated the achievements of Philip J. Pierre, Political Leader, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia and Member of Parliament for Castries East, and Dr Kenny D. Anthony, Former Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Vieux Fort South who both celebrate 25 years of serving their constituencies.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Saint Lucia Labour Party celebrated the achievements of Philip J. Pierre, Political Leader, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia and Member of Parliament for Castries East, and Dr Kenny D. Anthony, Former Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Vieux Fort South who both celebrate 25 years of serving their constituencies.

On May 23rd, 1997, under the leadership of Dr. Kenny D. Anthony, the Saint Lucia Labour Party made history, winning 16 of the 17 constituency seats in Saint Lucia. On his team, was Philip J. Pierre who became the Parliamentary Representative for Castries East. Twenty-five years later, the two six-term generals have undefeated continued representing their constituencies and Pierre is now the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia.

To mark this historic occasion, the Saint Lucia Labour Party will host a Thanksgiving Church Service this Sunday, July 24th at the Roman Catholic Sacred Heart Church in Marchand from 3:00pm. This church service will also mark the one-year anniversary of the SLP administration who won the General Elections on July 26th, 2021.
