Saint Lucia: Know schedule of quarterfinal matches of Secondary Schools Cricket Tournament

The 2023 Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Secondary Schools 50 Over Cricket Tournament of Saint Lucia moves into the Quarterfinal Knockout stage after successfully completing all thirty-two (32) Preliminary Round-Robin Group stage matches.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The 2023 Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Secondary Schools 50 Over Cricket Tournament of Saint Lucia moves into the Quarterfinal Knockout stage after successfully completing all thirty-two (32) Preliminary Round-Robin Group stage matches.

All Quarterfinal matches are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 22, with the following matchups:

1. Group A winner (CHOISEUL SECONDARY) vs 2nd Place in Group B (CLENDON MASON MEMORIAL) at The Piaye Playing Field of Saint Lucia. 

2. Group B winner (MICOUD SECONDARY) vs 2nd place in Group C (ST. LUCIA SPORTS ACADEMY) at The Wenn Playing Field of Saint Lucia. 

3. Group C winner (LEON HESS COMPREHENSIVE) vs 2nd place in Group D (CORINTH SECONDARY)at The Gros Islet Playing Field of Saint Lucia. 

4. Group D winner (ST. MARY’S COLLEGE) vs 2nd place team in Group A (VIEUX FORT COMPREHENSIVE) at The Mindoo Philip Park.

The Saturday morning Northern Cluster Grassroots Cricket Development Program of Saint Lucia continued on March 18, 2023, with another cricket enhancement and development training session at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.

The programme took the following format:

* Prayers/ Welcome

* Warm-up activities (catching game).

* Throwing/ Fielding drills in Saint Lucia. 

* Nets.

* Younger participants ages 11 years and under were engaged in the game sense in batting & bowling) in Saint Lucia. 

* Mini cricket match. 

The coaches who facilitated the training session were Alton Crafton, Allian Asby and Stuart Calderon.
