Saint Lucia Kings downed their gears on September 9 and stepped out in true Saint Lucian fashion for a morning of fun at Rainforest Sky Rides in Babonneau. This followed with a treat to a Kabawe' experience at J's Bar in Paix Bouche and at Twist in Grand Riviere, Gros- Islet.
Saint Lucia Kings visits Rainforest Sky Rides in Babonneau
Castries, Saint Lucia: Saint Lucia Kings downed their gears on September 9 and stepped out in true Saint Lucian fashion for a morning of fun at Rainforest Sky Rides in Babonneau. This followed with a treat to a Kabawe’ experience at J’s Bar in Paix Bouche and at Twist in Grand Riviere, Gros- Islet.
The men enjoyed local solo music by the popular “Mamai Lacaye” and savoured traditional creole style meals.
Kabawe’ Krawl (bar/pub hop) is a new initiative by the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority which will officially rollout in the weeks ahead. This cultural experience will welcome domestic and visiting guests to authentic experiences across the island.
Several destination management companies have endorsed the initiative and look forward to offering the experience as a packaged tour.

Saint Lucia kings were officially welcomed to the destination on Monday, September 5, 2022. This is the representative team of Saint Lucia in the Caribbean Premier League of cricket.
The men touched down to a reception hosted at Soco House, Rodney Bay, and got the opportunity to interact with the Minister of Tourism, Minister of Sports, Chairman, CEO, and staff of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Tourism.
The players and Management team were gifted with Saint Lucia branded items and a bracelet depicting the iconic Piton mountains.
In the festive atmosphere, Saint Lucia Kings defeated the Jamaica Tallawahs advancing their place in the tournament. Saint Lucia’s very own Daren Sammy is coaching the team, of which homegrown skipper Johnson Charles, pledged to deliver the best on home turf, and secured his place as ‘Man of the Match’ with 62 runs.
The game continues Thursday, September 8 when Saint Lucia Kings will come up against the Barbados Royals. On Saturday, September 10, the Kings will face the Guyana Amazon Warriors and on Sunday, September 11, Saint Lucia Kings will face the 2019 CPL champions, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots with the aim of releasing them of their current title.
