Saint Lucia Kings and Jamaica Tallawahs set to play eliminator match in CPL 2023

Saint Lucia Kings and Jamaica Tallawahs are all set to take on each other in the eliminator match of the Caribbean Premier League 2023 on Tuesday

Caribbean: Saint Lucia Kings and Jamaica Tallawahs are all set to take on each other in the eliminator match of the Caribbean Premier League 2023 on Tuesday (September 19, 2023). The match will be held at Guyana at 7: 00 pm.

The game will feature 4 of the top 5 wicket-tackers in this year’s tournament such as Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim, Chris Green and Alzarri Joseph. The winner of the match will pave its path towards the finals of the CPL 2023.

Caribbean Airlines started on August 16, 2023, has now reached to its final phase termed “playoffs”. With the eliminator match, the playoffs will be kicked off featuring two qualifier matches.

The eliminator match will be held between the team stood at the fourth place in the Points Table of the CPL 2023. As per the points tally, SLK is on the third position and JAM secured fourth place with four victories for both teams.

Further, the first spot is captured by Guyana Amazon Warriors in the points tally. The team has played 10 matches and secured victory in eight matches. The total points of the team were 17.

On the other hand, the second spot was secured by Trinbago Knight Riders with six victories. The total points of the team are 13.

The format of the matches of the playoffs have been determined by the CPL Points Table 2023. As per the table, the Qualifier 1 match will see the battle between Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors.

The game will feature Shai Hope, Saim Ayub, Martin Guptill and Nicholas Pooran – 4 of the 5 highest run-scorers, as well as a plethora of other stars.

The match of the qualifier 1 will be held on September 20, 2023, at 7 pm. The winner of the game will advance to the finals of the Caribbean Premier League 2023.

Further the second qualifier match will be held between the winner of the eliminator and the loser of the qualifier 1. The match will be held on September 22, 2023.

The winner of the game will also advance the finals of the CPL 2023 which is scheduled to be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Caribbean Premier League 2023 witnessed the staging of the matches between six matches such as Guyana Amazon Warriors, Trinbago Knight Riders, Saint Lucia Kings, Jamaica Tallawahs, Barbados Royals and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

With the month-long tournament, the four out of six became able to qualify for the playoffs of the CPL 2023. The matches of the tournament held at different countries of the Caribbean.

First six matches were held at Saint Lucia, second six were held in St Kitts, next matches were held in Barbados, and other were held in Trinidad. The last installment of the matches was held in Guyana.

The playoffs will also be held in Guyana from September 19, 2023 to September 24, 2023.
