The Babonneau Football League, in conjunction with the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. have organised an ongoing Under 15 football coaching program for boys and girls at the Fond Assau Playing Field.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Babonneau Football League, in conjunction with the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. have organised an ongoing Under 15 football coaching program for boys and girls at the Fond Assau Playing Field.

The sessions, which are being conducted by Terrance Caroo with assistance from Lynch Isidore and Francisco James, are held every Saturday morning from 9.00 am – 12.00 noon.

The programme has attracted over 25 youngsters from various schools and clubs in the community. The Technical team has used a holistic approach in developing the programme and centres around the following: 

• Enhance the quality of football in the community.

• Build and develop Positive Character through football.

• Foster Camaraderie among the players and

• Forging and amalgamating physical education and educational achievement.

The programme is supervised by the President of the Babonneau Football League, Baron Deterville.

Two matches were played in the La Clery Football League Parliamentary Cup on Sunday 25th June at the La Clery Playing Field. In the game’s opener, Radics earned a 2 – 0 victory over VSADC Under 19, with goals from Kevaughn Gordon and Shawn Alcee in the 42nd and 75th min respectively.

In the other game played La Clery Under 19 defeated La Clery Veterans 3 – 0 with goals from Lamar Cazaubon in the 17th and 25th min and an own goal by Lindel Placide in the 22nd min.

Meanwhile, the SLFA Inc. First Division Football Club Championships kicks off on Tuesday 27th June with a double header. at the Micoud Playing Field. El Ninos playing Uptown Rebels at 6.00 pm to be followed by Victory Eagles against Bays at 8.00 pm.

Meanwhile, the Division 2 matches scheduled for the same day at the Dennery Playing Field have been postponed. And now for results of matches played in the Gros Islet Football League / Monchy United Carasco Under 13 football competition played on Sunday 25th June at the Gros Islet Playing Field.

CT Foundation defeated GMC 8 – 1; Ethan Laurant 3, Keyshawn Lammy 2 and 1 each from Vjay Edwin, Delvin Charles and Mikel Justin. GMC won 5 – 0 over Pioneers; Monchy FC got the better of New Generation 8 – 0 and NYAH FC edged out Pioneers 3 – 2.
