Saint Lucia hosts National Table Tennis Championships, read details of results
Castries, Saint Lucia: The National Table Tennis Championships have been hosted by Saint Lucia National Table Tennis Association (SLNTTA) from August 22 to August 28, 2022. The championship was held at Castries Table Tennis Centre, and seven titles have been decided to grab. The name of the titles were Men’s Teams, Women’s Teams, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Men’s Singles, and Women’s Singles.
The championship for the women’s team was secured by Team Tigers, led by Shatal Charles and Ernaya Clerice, as they won the gold medal.
Further, Team Jaguars, led by Teri Ann Esperance and Harmony Herman, baggs second position and Team Eagles, led by Zarianne Anthony and Daniella Symphorian finished third.
On the other hand, the men’s team, Rising Stars, led by De Andre Calderon and Stephen Steele, won the gold medal in the championship. Further, Team Eagles led by Chris Wells and Joshua Lubin secured second position and Team Challengers, led by Adrian Albert Jr and Manie Eleuthera, ended the tournament with the third position.
In the Men’s Doubles, De Andre Calderon/Dawitt Nurse secured the gold medal in the podium finishers, while Chris Wells/Adrian Albert won the silver medal and Jelanie Dusauzay/Joshua Lubin, as well as Teddy Matthews/Nathan Alexander, finished the game with bronze.
On the other hand, the podium finishers for Ladies Doubles were:
Further the game called Mixed Doubles was secured by Dawitt Nurse/Teri Ann Esperance as they won gold, while Manie Eleuthere/Shatal Charles finished it with silver and Stephen Steele/Ernaya Clerice, as well as Zarianne Anthony/Vernan Salvator, stood at third with bronze.
In another game called Ladies Singles, National Champion Zarianne Anthony won 3 sets to 1 in the finals against Shatal Charles and retained her title. She stood first and won gold. While Shatal Chalres finished second, and Teri Ann Esperance and Ernaya Clerice secured the third position.
