Castries, Saint Lucia: Saint Lucia hosted the Divisional Club Competition with the staging of the matches on Thursday, October 19, 2023. In Div. 1 action at the Dennery Playing Field GMC and El Ninos played to an exciting 2 – 2 draw.
Scoring for El Ninos were Kurt Frederick 43rd and Keyon Emmanuel 84th min. Tonius Simon and Josh Geoge scored for GMC in the 34th min a penalty and 44th min respectively.
In another Div. 1 game Bays defeated 1987 All Stars 2 – 0 with goals from Rick Leonty and Nick Longville in the 15th and 66th min respectively.
Down at Micoud and in the Div. 2 competition, Black Panthers overcame New Generation 4 – 2. They got their goals from Arthurton Griffith with a brace in the 78th & 85th min, Eymani Butcher 10th and Kenny Nicholas 45th min.
Scoring for New Generation were Jeremie Abraham 33rd and Baggio Edward in the 48th min.
Faith outplayed Ti Rocher 7 – 3, courtesy of a hat trick from Zadel Dusauzay in the 28th, 35th and 66th min, a brace from William Cenac in the 5th and 12th min, Mahvy Rismay 62nd and the 4th min of added on time.
Scoring for Ti Rocher were Jason Lewis 22nd, Terry Austin 49th and Quam Joseph in the 89th min.
The football competition will enhance the capabilities of the athletes, serving the platform for great sporting skills.
In the first and second division club championship 2023, the match was held between EL Ninos FC and CMC United Football Club. The match was held at 6 pm.
The second match of the football was held between Bexon Active Youth Squad and Dennery Football Club. The match was held at 8 pm.
Earlier, the championship has also hosted B1FC and Rebels. The match was held at 6 pm. The second match was held between Northern Invited All Stars and FC Platinum. The match was held at 8 pm.
