Castries, Saint Lucia: The 2022 WINLOTT INC. Windward Islands Under 15 Cricket Champions Saint Lucia picked up all individual awards at the Tournament‘s closing ceremony held on Friday, December 16, at the Saint Lucia Sports Academy.

The cricket coach of the Saint Lucia Team- Alton Crafton, extended greetings and stated, “Congratulations also goes out to the 14 players selected to represent the Windward Islands in the 2023 Cricket West Indies Regional Under 15 Tournament.”

The regular Saturday morning, Northern Cluster Grassroots Cricket Programme continued on December 17, 2022 with yet another highly energetic training session at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.
Sixty-two (62)young male and female cricketers attended the cricket skill development and enhancement session.
The four (4) hour long session took the following format:
* Prayers & Welcome etc.
* Singing of happy birthday song to Coach Alton Crafton.
* General Warm up activities
* Physical Conditioning
* Introduction to hard ball through fielding, catching and backing up with age group 4-10 years.
* Fielding, catching and target throwing.
* Nets.
* Batting drills with new players.
* Mini cricket match amongst younger group.
The coaches who conducted the session were; Alton Crafton, Malika Edward and Kimani Melius. The logistical support was done by Ms Roseline Preville and Afra Forde.
Saint Lucia has won the Winlott Windward Island Under-15 Cricket tournament convincingly, with captain Theo Edward leading the way with 540 runs in four matches, scoring four centuries in four matches.
The Northern Cluster Grassroots/ Ministry of Youth Development and Sports/ Gros Islet Community After-school Cricket Training Program continued on Thursday, December 08, 2022, with a general training session at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground.
