Castries, Saint Lucia: The Cultural Development Foundation outlines several aspects of the Lantern Design and Construction Virtual Workshop held in Saint Lucia.

Since entering the industry in 2010 for ten years, he has devoted himself to the perfect presentation of the Taiwan Lantern Festival Creative Light District every year, with the mission of creating people’s memories and capturing the smiles of the country, and keeping close to the expectations of the public as the source of creativity, with craftsmanship and creativity, everyone who visits every year can be full of joy and return with a full reward.

Born with unrestrained imagination and unconstrained by traditional frameworks and thinking, “Lan Yung Chi” teacher entered the world of lantern art creation by fate, and created the dots and lines of finished art by constructing lantern works, the creative soul in the body can be sustenance and sway, and in the cultural creation of the Chinese Artistic Lantern Association for many years, the skills of the lantern creation are more wonderful and ingenious.

In view of his love for lantern art, teacher Lan had gathered many outstanding talents who love lantern art since 2014. In the same year, he carried forward Taiwan lantern art, injected more innovation and vitality, and devoted himself to cultivating young lantern artists, letting Taiwan lighting art shine internationally.

 In 2016, Taiwan Lantern Festival Creative Light District, “Technology Play”, the classic fairy tale “The Journey to The West” was combined with the elements of the host county and the city “Taoyuan: Science and Technology City” to create a time and space where reality and imagination overlapped. During the performance, it was collected by Japan’s “Tobu Group” as if it became alternative national diplomacy, allowing the world to see the beauty of Taiwan.
