Castries, Saint Lucia: Helpaws welcomed cute puppies to the shelter and promised to do everything in their power to make sure they would never again experience fear, hunger or pain.

You may remember the Royal litter, Prince, Queen and Lilibet, who were abandoned close to the home of one of our volunteer’s, dumped and discarded like trash, without any concern for how or if they would survive.

We welcomed these sweet little babies to the shelter and promised to do everything in our power to make sure they would never again experience fear, hunger, or pain. Sadly, it was too late for little Lilibet, who passed away a few days after arriving. Thankfully, Queen and Prince were strong, and made it through the darkness of their neglectful past. They are currently happy, healthy, and living the good life with an incredible foster family in Richmond, Virginia, but they are ready to find their forever homes.

Queen and Prince are smart little nuggets who love to play all day and cuddle all night. You’d never know by looking at them they had such a rough beginning; their enthusiasm and joy are palpable! Dogs have a beautiful, uncanny knack for letting the past go and living in the moment.

Although this brother and sister duo are being fostered together, they can be adopted separately. They do well with dogs, cats, and children, and are sure to be treasured additions to any family! For more information on Queen and Prince, go to www.HelpAWS.com/adopt to see their bios, or reach out to HelpAWS via Messenger.

If you are in the Richmond, Virginia area, or are willing to travel to meet your soul-pup(s), we’d love to speak with you to see if your home might be a good fit for one or both of these angels. You can complete an online application on our website.

Whether you’re looking to adopt, have already adopted from us, or you just love following along on our journey as we work to end animal cruelty, neglect and overpopulation in St Lucia, we appreciate you! Without you, we would not be able to carry on our vital work on the island, rescuing and finding homes for these deserving animals.
