Saint Lucia: Helpaws invites general public to adopt three pups
Castries, Saint Lucia: Helpaws (Help Animal Welfare in St Lucia) is an organization that addresses the unnecessary suffering of animals in Saint Lucia through rescue work, and regular FREE Spay and Neuter clinics asked the public to come forward and help the three dogs.
As per Helpaws:
These three pups were from a litter of 6, three of which were given away before we were contacted; the remaining three were welcomed into our shelter today to start the process of making sure they all have long, happy lives.
Mom and Dad will remain with their owners; however, we have arranged for them to be spayed and neutered, so no more babies for them! If you’d like to help us cover this cost, please consider donating; details are below:
These pups are boisterous, outgoing, and eager for human interaction, which always makes us happy to see them. Based on the information and pictures we’ve gotten, we’re estimating they will only grow to be 15-20lbs. But don’t expect them to be lazy little pocket puppies! These hybrid pups will likely be high-energy and love an active household.
Now that they’re at the shelter, it means we have three more mouths to feed, more rounds of vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, not to mention the daily care involved any time we bring animals into the shelter. For many rescues around the world, donations and adoptions have slowed drastically this year, and for us, we are barely making ends meet.
That’s why we give our supporters the chance to do the honours and give them names while making a donation that goes towards helping with their care!
If you would like to name one of these cuties, please send a $100 donation and name choice via e-transfer, PayPal, or Zelle to donate@helpaws.com, or via Venmo to @helpaws.
They stated that they know that times are hard for many right now, and we are always incredibly grateful to everyone who finds a way to support us, financially and otherwise.
Whether or not you are able to donate, we ask that you PLEASE continue to share our posts on your social media platforms. The more people spread the word about HelpAWS, the more animals we will be able to rescue and give the opportunity for a wonderful life.
