The 2023 Gros Islet Domestic Cricket Tournament sponsored by District Representative; Kenson Casimir continued with the 20/20 format on Tuesday, January 31 at the Gros Islet Playing Field in Saint Lucia.
GERSON STRIKERS came up against GOODMAN WARRIORS in a highly anticipated match up. GERSON STRIKERS batting first was dismissed in the 20th over for 132, with Mateo Boulogne making 34, Vidal Crandon 28 and captain Tyrel Chicot 23.
The wicket takers for GOODMAN WARRIORS were; Zayee Antoine with 4 for 7 in 3.1 overs, Tyler Sookwa with 2 for 21 in 3 overs, Rene Montoute with 2 for 22 in 4 overs and one wicket each to Lee John and Qiana Joseph.
In reply, GOODMAN WARRIORS reached their target, finishing on 133 for 5 in 18.1 overs, with Noel Leo leading the way with a commanding knock of 76 not out inclusive of 6 fours and five sixes, Zidane Arthur 23 and Lee John with 20 not out.
