Castries, Saint Lucia: Goodman Warriors secured 200 run victory against Edward Blasters in the 2023 Gros Islet Domestic Cricket Tournament in Saint Lucia on Sunday, March 5, 2023. 

The 2023 Gros Islet Domestic Cricket Tournament sponsored by District Representative; Kenson Casimir continued on Sunday, March 5, with Semi Final #2 in the 50 over version of the tournament between GOODMAN WARRIORS and EDWARD BLASTERS at the Gros Islet Playing Field.

GOODMAN WARRIORS came out on top after having completed a massive 200 run victory over EDWARD BLASTERS and will now join GERSON STRIKERS in the Tournament’s Grand Finals to take place soon.

GOODMAN WARRIORS batting first, led by a magnificent century from their skipper JARD GOODMAN, made an imposing 379 for 7 in their quota of 50 overs.

JARD GOODMAN top scored with a wonderful knock of 122 with 15 fours and 5 sixes, Noelle Leo 51 with 5 fours and 3 sixes, Khan Elcock 48, Rene Montoute 35 not out, Jamaal James 33, Ryan Goodman 20, Lee John 18, Zayee Antoine 13 and Darren Sammy Jr 11 not out.

The wicket takers for EDWARD BLASTERS were; Jeandell Cyril with 4 for 33 in 5 overs and Keon Gaston 3 for 73 in 10 overs.

In reply, EDWARD BLASTERS was bowled out for 180 in 33 overs with Stephen Naitram and Stuart Calderon making 43 each, Leon Alexander 26, Keon Gaston 17 and 11 each to Royce Paul and Joshua Cepal.

The chief destroyer with the ball for GOODMAN WARRIORS was off spinner LEE JOHN with stand out bowling figures of 6 for 32 in 10 overs.

The other wicket takers were Rene Montoute with 3 for 46 in 7 overs and Darren Sammy Jr with 1 wicket. The Man of the Match Award went jointly to JARD GOODMAN for his brilliant century (122) and LEE JOHN for his outstanding bowling figures of 6 for 32 in 10 overs.

RESULT: GOODMAN WARRIORS won over EDWARD BLASTERS by 200 RUNS.
