Castries, Saint Lucia: Saint Lucia Football Association shared the results of the SLFA Inc competitions on Sunday, February 12, 2023. Anse La Raye with goals from Jazzy Herman 22nd and Ternice St. Croix 44th min defeated Dennery 2 – 0 in the Senior Women competition.

In the Zonal Boys U 17, 1987 All Stars got the better of RV Juniors FC 4 – 1, with goals from Alfred Hippolyte 37th, and 73rd, min, Jahntae Seraphine 27th, and Adriano Auguste in the 77th min.

Ric Joseph scored for RV Juniors in the 14th min. Challengers defeated El Ninos 6 – 1. They got their goals from Hartley Mathew in the 5th, 21st and 70th min, Terry George 14th, Jahim Lionel an own goal in the 55th min, and Evanda Charlory in the 67th min.

Stevie Henry scored for El Ninos in the 45th min. In another matched played Monchy United with a goal from Carson Ellis in the 6th min defeated New Generations 1 – 0.

In the Zonal Boys Under 10 Knights FC overcame 1987 All Stars 3 – 0, with goals from Jayel Henry, Daulson Kisna and Tarvin Cox in the 8th, 12th, and 20th min, respectively. 

A three member delegation from Concacaf wrapped up a successful three day visit to Saint Lucia in relation to the Concacaf Generation Amazing Program scheduled to kick off here in March 2023.

The team included Jennifer Roche – CRS Coordinator of Concacaf, Alexia Vickroy, Women’s Football Supervisor at Concacaf and Gary Stannett, Chief Executive Officer of the Rio Ferdinand Foundation.

On Monday February 13 2023 they met with Messers Lyndon Cooper, Victor Reid, Evastus Augustin, Ces Podd and Michael Pierre of the SLFA Inc. and Donald Dave Albert of the Ministry of Education. Roche gave a general overview of the Program, while the SLFA Inc. gave an update on where they are with the program.

Albert outlined his Ministry’s involvement and support while welcoming this timely initiative. Following amicable discussions all teams felt confident that Saint Lucia was well on their way in rolling out a successful Concacaf Generation Amazing Program.

On Tuesday February 14 both the Concacaf team and the SLFA Inc. team led by Training Officer and the Programme Coordinator John Sealy, held a very interactive working session with the coaches assigned to the programme’s 25 Primary Schools.

The team also visited the Grande Riviere Primary School where fruitful discussions were held with the Principal and P E teacher who will be in charge with the responsibility of overseeing the Concacaf Generation Amazing Program there.

The Team was very impressed with their findings and commended the SLFA Inc. for the strides made in implementing the Concacaf Generation Amazing Programme.
