Castries, Saint Lucia: Matches in the Saint Lucia Football Association Cup Island Super Cup continued on Tuesday, 29th November. At the Desruisseaux Playing Field, in the first of a doubleheader, Soufriere earned a hard-fought 3 – 2 victory over Babonneau.

They got their goals from Jardel Phillip with a brace in the 48th and 60th min and the other from Wendel Joseph in the 36th min. Babonneau earned two own goals from Jaedel Phillip and Neil James in the 15th and 40th min respectively.

In the other game played, Anse La Raye won over Micoud 2 – 0 with goals from Djal Augustin 44th and Javon Ferguson in the 5th min of added on time. 

In the lone game played at the Soufriere Mini Stadium Choiseul defeated Roseau 5 – 1 with a hat trick from Darrell Francis in the 59th, 78th and 84th min and a brace from Marvy Rismay 90th and 3rd min of added on time. Sherman Jn. Charles scored for Micoud in the 80th min.

We now take a look at the results of Schools Football.

In the final quarterfinal match played at the Technical Centre in the Under 19 category, St. Lucia Sports Academy booked their way into the semi final with a hard fought 2 – 1 victory over a spirited Micoud Secondary School.

Obafami Poyotte shot Micoud into the lead in the 27th minute of play only for Kyle Jn. Baptiste equalised in the 37th min as the half ended 1 – 1.

Following, the interval Eymani Butcher clinched the winner for the St. Lucia Sports Academy in the 70th minute.

The first semi final is now scheduled for Wednesday, 30th November, with Babonneau Secondary playing Soufriere Comprehensive at the Soufriere Mini Stadium at 1.30 pm.

The second semi final slated for Thursday 1st December features St. Mary’s College vs St. Lucia Sports Academy at the SAB Playing Field.
