Castries, Saint Lucia: The Gros Islet female cricket team registers an easy 10-wicket victory over the SLNCA Development female team as the SLNCA Alicia John T-20 Female Cricket Tournament continued on Monday, October 3 at the Mondoo Philip Park.
The SLNCA Development team batting first, in a game reduced to 10 overs a side due to wet ground conditions was restricted to 17 for 7 in their allotted overs.
The wicket takers for the ladies from the north were; Selena Ross with 2 for 2 in 2 overs, Cian Felix 2 for 4 in 2 overs and 1 wicket each to standing captain; Malika Edward (1 for 3 in 2 overs) and Niesha Cherry (1 for 4 in 2 overs).
Set a modest victory target of 18, the Gros Islet opening batters easily completed victory, finishing on 18 without loss in 3.2 overs with Cian Felix and Skyy Smith remaining not out on 6 and 5 respectively.
RESULT: GROS ISLET FEMALES DEFEATED THE SLNCA DEVELOPMENT TEAM BY 10 WICKETS.
South Castries defeated Gros Islet by 6 wickets as the 2022 Alicia John T20 Female Cricket Tournament continued on Sunday, October 2 at the Mindoo Philip Park.
Gros Islet batting first was dismissed for 71 in 12.2 overs with Malika Edward making 34 and Skyy Smith 11.
The wicket takers for South Castries were Zaida James 4 for 19 in 3.4 overs, Krishna Joseph 2 for 24 in 4 overs and 1 wicket to Nerissa Crafton.
In reply, South Castries finished on 73 for 4 in 16.5 overs, with Nerissa Crafton top scoring with 29 and Ashlene Edward 20.
The wicket takers for Gros Islet were Malika Edward with 2 for 8 in 4 overs and 1 wicket each to Skyy Smith and Makada Dubois.
RESULT: SOUTH CASTRIES FEMALES DEFEATED GROS ISLET FEMALES BY 6 WICKETS.
