Castries, Saint Lucia: The billboards of student-athletes Naya Jules and Theo Edwards have been erected in Saint Lucia on Monday. The billboards have been unveiled to celebrate the athletes who make great contribution in the sports.
Saint Lucia Sports Academy expressed pleasure and said that the step will encourage other athletes to work hand and perform better in the life. During the ceremony, Acting Sports Director Clivus Jules spoke about the importance of growth and self-sacrifice and encouraged students to use Naya, Theo, and their teachers as role models.
He congratulated the honorees and urged them to keep striving for excellence. Saint Lucia Sports Academy shared glimpses of the billboards and said this is great opportunity to celebrate their achievements in the sporting field.
The billboards reads,”Saint Lucia Sports Academy welcomes you to the home of CARIFTA Medalist Naya Junes and Windward Islands Under 15 Cricket MVP and Windwards Captain Theo Edward.”
Saint Lucia Sports Academy said,” Proud celebrations with Naya and Theo at the unveiling of their billboard on the grounds of SLSA. Naya Jules
Naya Jules is seeking to build off of a good clinic in Vieux Fort last week as she prepares for the first ever women’s vault at CARIFTA in April. She was 3x Champion in the throws and captured several accolades.
With her javelin throw of 34.39, she herself separated her far from her competitors. She is a student athlete and trained multi event. She also makes her debut at the 2023 CARIFTA Games in the Girls Open Pole Vault which is new historic addition to the games.
She has great experience in the Pole Vault event and expressed pleasure in getting chance to participate in the games.
Theo Edward
He is popular cricketer in Saint Lucia and showed great performance in several games. With his dedication and hard work, the athlete has secured numerous accolades.
