Black Panthers of Saint Lucia hosted their first Easter Soccerama giving the youngsters from their grassroots academy an opportunity to showcase their talent in front of their family and friends on Saturday 15th April, 2023

Castries, Saint Lucia: Black Panthers of Saint Lucia hosted their first Easter Soccerama giving the youngsters from their grassroots academy an opportunity to showcase their talent in front of their family and friends on Saturday 15th April, 2023.  

The lil ballers were placed in four teams; Red Dragons, Blue Jaguars, Green Crocs and Orange Tigers. The Beginners – Newbies were placed in two teams(Black & Blue). 

After great performances, the Red Dragons have been crowned Champions on goal difference. Blue Jaguars placed 2nd, Green Crocs in 3rd Place followed by Orange Tigers in 4th. The Newbies played two exciting matches with both teams coming away with a win. The final match of the night was in the U15 division, with the Red Team clinching the win.

Black Panthers would like to thank their amazing parents for continued support and all the family, friends and well wishers for coming out to watch the youngsters in action. It was a wonderful evening.

Growth, Development & Empowerment has always been our goal. Meanwhile, in a more anticipated fixture green of the Desruisseaux Football League / SLFA Inc. 2022 – 23 Knockout tournament Green Monsters came up against El Ninos on Sunday 16th April at the Desruisseaux Playing Field.

The game lived up to all expectations as El Ninos edged out Green Monsters 3 goals to 2. Scoring for El Ninos were Keyon Emmanuel in the 24th, Trevon Chulan an own goal in the 35th, and Dahvel Edward in the 8th min of added on time.

Green Monsters got their goals from Shadrick Flavius in the 25th and Jonah Grafton in the 77th min. In the first game played on the day Desruisseaux United edged out La Couville 2 – 0 with goals from Davian Jetrun and Edric Popo in the 28th and 39th min, respectively.

Matches continue on Wednesday 19th, with Ti Rocher FC coming up against Blanchard United. In the opening match at the Dennery Playing Field in the SLFA Inc President Cup, Nyah FC sent an early warning to their opponents with a 4 – 0 victory over Garrnd FC.

Scoring for the victors were Christopher St. Catherine, O’Neil Alexander, Emmery Edwards in the 26th, 58th and 80th min respectively and an own goal by Lawrenson Cilien in the 86th min.
