Teams were led by St Lucia and Windward Islands Under 15 players THEO EDWARD and JOHNATHAN DANIEL, respectively. At present, THEO EDWARD’S team batting first (30 over a side) match is 43 with out loss in 6 overs with Theo Edward on 15 not out and Kensley Paul on 11 not out.
The Saturday Morning Northern Cluster Grassroots Cricket Development Program commenced its 2023 programming on January 28 at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.
The activities took the following format:
* Prayers/ Welcome/ Introductions etc.
* Catching/ Fielding drills and exercises.
* Nets.
* Introduction to hard ball with younger participants including Fielding, Catching and Batting age group 4-10 years.
The coaches who conducted the training session were; Allian Ashby and Malika Edward. The logistical support was arranged by Roseline Preville.
The Northern Cluster Grassroots/ Ministry of Youth Development and Sports/ Gros Islet Community After-school Cricket Training Program continued on Friday, January 27, 2023 with a beach recovery session at the Reduit Beach.
