Matches continued in the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. Club competition on Thursday 6th July 2023. In the Div. 1 action played at the Micoud Playing Field, Monchy edged out Uptown Rebels 1 – 0 with a goal from Troy Greenidge in the 64th min.

In the other game played, Platinum and GMC played to an exciting 2 – 2 draw. Scoring for Platinum were Leslie Tal 15th and Glendan Ferdinand in the 49th min. GMC got their goals from Brandon Sandiford a penalty in the 63rd min and Shannon Phillip in the 69th min.

Over at the Dennery Playing Field, DCYO defeated Knights FC 3 – 0 with goals from Nathaniel Fontenelle in the 67th and 79th min and the other from Sherquille William in the 13th min.

In the other game played, New Generation got the better of Diamond Ballers 3 – 1. They got their goals from Baggio Edward 10th, Rickelme Lionel 39th and Shakim Hunte 79th min. Jesse James pulled one back for Diamond Ballers in the 43rd min.

Following the continuous stalemate at arriving at a decisive Vice President for the Western Zone for the SLFA Inc. body it has been decided that the following will ensue.

According to a communiqué emanating from the SLFA Inc. as of Monday 10th July 2023, the President’s of the Football Leagues of the Western Zone decided that Mr. Marcus Harrow will serve the first half of the term of a Vice President for the Western Zone. Harrow’s term will be from July 2023 – December 2025.

Accordingly, Alvin Francis will serve the final two years. In other related news, the Roseau Football League stages a Grassroots Festival at the Jacmel Playing Field on Saturday 8th July 2023 from 9.00 am – 12.00 noon.

The activity which is free is open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 – 14 years.

The La Clery Football League / Parliamentary Cup final preliminary round match was played on Thursday 6th July 2023 at the La Clery Playing Field.

In the final round match, Agardianz and Lancers U 19 played to an exciting 2 – 2 draw. Scoring for Agardianz was Venroy Alfred with a brace in the 47th and 87th min, while Kinson Carasco and Kevin Dupre scored for Lancers U 19 in the 18th and 76th min.

It must be noted that the said competition was organized as an in house competition and secondly as an invitational one. The In House competition was won by Radics with 17 pts, followed by Active Hill Strikers 12 pts.

Following the completion of the preliminary round of matches the points standings are as follows.
 Radics – 17 pts
 Lancers U 19 – 13 pts
 Active Hill Strikers – 12 pts
 Agardianz – 9 pts
 La Clery U 19 – 9 pts
 VSADC U 21 – 8 pts
 Island Vibe Brotherhood – 5 pts and
 La Clery Veterans – 3 pts.
The top four teams qualify for the semi finals.

Two matches were played in the Marchand Football League Normalisation Committee Arnold Clouden Memorial Men’s Club competition at the Marchand Grounds on Wednesday 5th July 2023.

Bagatelle edged out Boulevard 1 – 0 with a goal from Kershawn Jeremie in the 72nd min.

In the other game played Arundel Hill got the better of Pavee 4 – 1, with goals from Andrus Remy 42nd and 47th min, Meshack Edward a penalty in the 11th min and the other from Donavan Phillip in the 60th min. Arthur Augustin had opened the scoring for Pavee in the 5th min.
