Royal Barbados Police Force gets assistance from Armstrong Agencies Ltd

Barbados: Corporate Barbados – Armstrong Agencies Ltd has once again provided assistance to the Royal Barbados Police Force in its effort to further enhance its capacity of operations.

On Friday, August 27, 2021 in a short handing over ceremony which was conducted at Central Police Station, the acting Public Relations Officer – Inspector Rodney Inniss received the humane donation on behalf of the Force from Donna Allamby, Brand Manager for Kola Kick Energy Drink at Armstrong Agencies.

In thanking Allamby for the kind gesture and donation – Inspector Inniss ensured that they would be put to good use to assist energize the members of the rank and file as they diligently performed their duties as they continued to serve, protect and comfort the public.

In addition, Barbados’ Minister of Home Affairs, Information and Public Affairs – Wilfred Abrahams, on Thursday, August 26 attended the state funeral for former Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda – Sir Lester Bird.

During the state funeral that took place at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Minister Abrahams placed a wreath and paid his respects on the passing of the twin-island state’s second prime minister and National Hero, who passed away on August 9, at the age of 83.

Sir Lester was Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda from 1994 to 2004. He has also served as the – first chairman of the Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States.

Sie Lester remained the chairman of the Antigua Labour Party (ALP) from the year 1971 to 1983, then became the prime minister when his father, Sir Vere Bird, the previous prime minister, resigned from the position. He began his political career in the year 1971, when he was nominated to the Senate. In the year 2014, Bird was made a Knight of the Order of the National Hero – (KNH) by Antigua and Barbuda.
