Roseau Central Christmas Parade witnesses successful staging, Melissa Skerrit shares glimpses 

The Commonwealth of Dominica witnessed the first-ever Roseau Central Christmas Parade on December 21, 2022. Melissa Poponne Skerrit- Parliamentary Representative for Roseau Central Constituency, shared glimpses of the parade with exciting pictures.

Roseau, Dominica: The Commonwealth of Dominica witnessed the first-ever Roseau Central Christmas Parade on December 21, 2022. Melissa Poponne Skerrit- Parliamentary Representative for Roseau Central Constituency, shared glimpses of the parade with exciting pictures. 

Melissa Skerrit shared glimpses in which she could be seen enjoying with the children and the festival vibes associated with the Christmas season. She called the Christmas parade a big hit as it witnessed the flood of children across the constituency. 

The environment was filled with joy, excitement and fun as the children witnessed the fun games. She stated, “The first Roseau Central Christmas Parade was a hit with the kiddies.” 

The Christmas Parade featured the arrival of Santa and its helpers and made the vibes excited. The families of the Roseau Central Constituency bring their loved ones and the children to the Christmas Parade to enjoy the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. 

Melissa Skerrit added, “Their excitement and happiness truly give me joy and make all the effort worthwhile.” 

Earlier, Melissa Skerrit invited the citizens of Roseau Central Constituency to attend the joyful event. She also officially opened Santa’s Mall on December 9, 2022. Santa’s Mall consisted of fun events, children’s carnivals, Christmas carols, parties for children and many more in the Roseau Central Constituency. 

While extending gratitude to the people who put their efforts into the successful staging of the Christmas parade, Melissa Skerrit cited, “Thank you to everyone who was involved in putting this together. You guys are awesome. And remember, everyone, Santa’s Mall is open for the season.” 

She announced that Santa’s Mall will remain open for the entire season of the Christmas festival.  

Roseau Central’s 2022 Santa’s Mall has officially opened with a surprise visit and performance by the Sixth Form Sisserou Singers they have started off the season splendidly! So bring friends and family and come on down to Santa’s Mall on the Roseau Bayfront and enjoy. 

Dominica has been witnessing Christmas celebrations through different parties, events and fun games. Various parliamentary representatives from constituencies hosted Christmas parties, events, village events, Kiddies parties and many more to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Earlier, Parliamentary Representative for Cottage Constituency and Minister of Agriculture- Roland Royer commended the Capuchin Secondary School Students for hosting Christmas Party for the children. 

He added, “I would like to commend Robertine Seaman and the Capuchin Secondary School Students for this wonderful initiative. Let’s show our support as they bring Christmas cheer to the children of the Capuchin community.”
