Rockstar Games is currently working on Red Dead Online

We all know that Red Dead Online is not as popular amongst its fans as Grad Theft Auto Online is, but it seems that Rockstar is not giving up on it. The company knows that the fans and players are looking forward to more single-player DLCs, but Rockstar Games is currently focused on bringing in and updating new online component. The company wants the blockbuster Western action game to be as popular as the Grand Theft Auto Online i

Recently, Rockstar Games had an interview with website VG 24/7 and the Lead online production associate Katie Pica told the website, “We’re 100% focused on online right now, because like I said, there’s just so much to do, and we’re just hoping to bring everything that a player can love about single-player into the online world, and fleshed out. While this doesn’t completely rule out the notion of a single-player add-on, it’s certainly not going to happen anytime soon”.

Online producer Tarek Hamad backed up that claim, stating, “We’ve said it before, but we all love single-player games, and Red Dead Redemption 2’s absolutely massive story and equally massive epilogue are hopefully evidence of that. The team’s ambitions for Red Dead Redemption 2 were sky high in every way, and when we are building worlds of that scale, the single-player experience almost always leads the way. Our ambitions for our online games are just as high, and with Red Dead Online we are continuing to build and expand to match the world we created for Red Dead Redemption 2’s story.”

We know that Rockstar Games working on only online components will be disappointing for most of its fans and players but we can understand it. The story mode of the game is already 60 hours long and the company thinks that there is no scope to add something or expand the game with specific DLCs. Therefore the company is currently thinking to focus on the online component of the game rather than dragging out an already completed story.
