Nevis: After getting removed from the position of the Foreign Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Premier of Nevis and Leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement, Mark Brantley shared a glimpse of his work and outlined his dedication towards his work and the citizens of the Federation.
He penned his incredible job during his tenure on his Facebook page and highlighted every aspect of the top position.
Mark Brantley exclaimed that while remaining Foreign Minister of his beloved country, he was sought out for interviews and engagements globally.
He noted, “That spoke eloquently to the high regard that the world has for St Kitts and Nevis and also for the standing of our Foreign Ministry that we were sought after to share views with a global audience as to the issues impacting our world.”
Premier Mark Brantley stated that he wanted to present his country in the UN General Assembly in New York in 2021 but was not allowed as prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris preferred to make the national statement via video from Basseterre to an empty UNGA hall on a Friday night.
He further outlined his interview with host Palki Sharma and added, “Notwithstanding the ongoing petty efforts to undermine me as Foreign Minister, I was invited to speak to a global audience on the immensely popular Gravitas on WION with host Palki Sharma and took the message of St Kitts and Nevis to the world. Reflect with me that I did not seek out Gravitas. Gravitas reached out to me.”
Premier Mark Brantley also underlined that it was his efforts that St Kitts and Nevis got representation globally.
“It, therefore, meant that the smallest country in the Hemisphere was specifically asked to go on to this global stage to represent itself, our Caribbean region and small developing states globally. Once again, we were the voice of our region. This, my brothers and sisters, is what real representation looks like. God bless St Kitts and Nevis,” he added.
Further, he also outlined his good policymaking by the Concerned Citizens Movement led Nevis Island Administration.

I know it’s late, but I need to make a point about good policymaking by the CCM government.
When we invested in the Mondo track, many criticized us vociferously for so doing. But as a government, we were convinced that we could not continue to allow our young athletes to run on grass and dirt at the ETW Park if we wanted them to be able to compete nationally and farther afield.
It was also unfair for them to run on grass and dirt and then transition to the proper professional surface at Kim Collins stadium and elsewhere for competitions.
Now tonight, the Charlestown Primary School has emerged champions in the National Inter Primary Relays running at the Kim Collins Stadium on a similar Mondo professional track.
It means that CPS emerged as champions of 20 schools competing. But not only did CPS win, ALL the four competing schools from Nevis placed in the top ten. I love when the plan comes together.
