Caribbean: Caribbean community- CARICOM organized the 2022 CARICOM 10K Race, held in Suriname. In the Race, various events such as the women’s leg road race were taken place. Various countries of the CARICOM communities have participated and secured a position in the game. 

Here is the full update on the result of the 2022 CARICOM 10K Race: 

Jozeanne Harris of Jamaica, winner of the women’s leg of the 2022 CARICOM 10K Road Race, held in Suriname Saturday, crosses the finish line. The Race was held prior to the 43rd CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting, which begins this afternoon also in Suriname.

Congratulations, Michael Biscette of Saint Lucia for placing 3rd in the 2022 CARICOM 10K Road Race in Paramaribo, Suriname, Saturday. 

Winner of the Women’s category of Saturday’s CARICOM 10K Road Race in Suriname Jozeanne Harris receives the Secretary-General’s Trophy from Dr Carla Barnett.

Jelesa Wright of Guyana (l) placed 2nd and Hannah Charles of Antigua and Barbuda, 3rd. Congratulations Janiek Pomba of Suriname for placing 2nd in the 2022 CARICOM 10-K road race in Paramaribo, Suriname, Saturday. 

Congratulations to the winner of the 2022 CARICOM 10-K road race Marlon Nicholson of Guyana. The Race was part of activities leading up to the 43rd Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government which begins Sunday in Paramaribo, Suriname. 

AND THEY’RE OFF! Regional athletes start the CARICOM 10-K Road race in Paramaribo, Suriname. The Race was part of activities around the 43rd Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government. 

CARICOM 10-K Road Race! CARICOM Secretary-General Dr Carla Barnett meets the regional athletes ahead of the Race. 

Montserrat’s Aidan Livan finished 10th in the 15th CARICOM 10K Race which took place in Suriname on Saturday afternoon. Livan completed the Race in a time of 43:40.

The Race which saw over 65 competitors, was won by the representative for Guyana in a time of 33:27. Suriname and St. Lucia followed in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Further, CARICOM Chair Chandrikapersad Santokhi, President of Suriname and CARICOM Secretary-General Dr Carla Barnett brief the media on the 43rd Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM, which was opened in Paramaribo, Suriname on July 3, 2022.
