President Dr Irfaan Ali met with the Vice President of the United States- Kamala Harris at the ninth Summit of the Americas which was held in Los Angeles

Guyana: President Dr Irfaan Ali met with the Vice President of the United States- Kamala Harris at the ninth Summit of the Americas which was held in Los Angeles, California with the other CARICOM heads of the government. The meeting was held on the last day of the Summit and various other Caribbean leaders have also conducted discussions with US VP.

Further, President Dr Irfaan Ali sat down with France 24 journalist Natalia Cabrera today to speak about several areas, including Guyana’s development agenda and the oil industry.

France 24 is a French state-owned international news television network based in Paris. Its channels are broadcast in French, English, Arabic, and Spanish and are aimed at the overseas market.

Since arriving in Los Angeles, President Ali has been interviewed by the New York Times and CGTN America. The Head of State is currently in Los Angeles, California, for the ninth Summit of the Americas which is taking place this week.

Throughout the summit, US leaders and leaders from North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean are expected to explore economic relationships and general goals for the Western Hemisphere. A packed schedule of events is carded, including plenary and roundtable discussions.
