US: US President-elect Joe Biden got the second dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, 11 January, at the Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.

To generate confidence people of the USA, his vaccination was broadcast on live TV to demonstrate the safety of the COVID-19 vaccine to the public.

Pfizer/BioNTech’s second booster shot must be struck within three weeks, and Biden had received his first shot nearly three weeks ago. On Monday, Biden took his second dose by Ric Cuming, chief nurse executive.

After receiving the vaccine, Joe Biden tweeted, “Folks, I just received the second dose of my COVID-19 vaccine — and just like the first dose, it was safe, quick, and painless.”

He also urged people to get vaccinated when their turn comes; he also added, “Because only together can we save lives and beat this virus.”

US President-elect Joe Biden also assured vaccine is distributed quickly, equitably, and free of charge to every American.

The 78-year-old Democrat said,” Getting America vaccinated will be one of the greatest operational difficulties we’ve ever faced, but my administration will spare no effort to get it done.”

Biden and other leaders from both parties have received the vaccine in public to instill confidence in it and assure Americans that it is both safe and effective. Vice President Pence was amongst the first to publicly receive the vaccine.
