St Kitts and Nevis went for the general elections on August 5, 2022, and Dr Terrance was sworn in as the Prime Minister on August 6 after securing a majority of six seats out of eleven seats.

St Kitts and Nevis: Premier of Nevis– Mark Brantley, held an interactive engagement with the newly elected Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis- Dr Terrance Drew. On August 19, 2022, both the leaders conducted their first official meeting since Dr Drew assumed the Office of the Prime Minister. 

St Kitts and Nevis went for the general elections on August 5, 2022, and Dr Terrance was sworn in as the Prime Minister on August 6 after securing a majority of six seats out of eleven seats. 

Prime Minister Dr Drew, who leads the Federal Cabinet of the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, and Premier Brantley, who heads the Nevis Island Administration (NIA), held an interactive engagement and discussed the relationship between both administrations. The meeting featured several matters concerning the entire Federation. 

Both the leaders mainly focused on the fact and measures that could help in the creation of good and strong relations between both the island. They also discussed how their relationship could be improved to deliver even more for the people of the twin-island Federation.

Premier Mark Brantley expressed pleasure to meet with the new Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis. Through his social media, he stressed that he and the entire Nevis looked forward to working closely together to deliver sustainable development. 

He added, “Excellent first meeting with the new Prime Minister of St Kitts and #Nevis HE Dr Terrence Drew. We look forward to working closely together to deliver sustainable development for our beloved country.” 

Earlier, in his address at the swearing-in ceremony for the Cabinet of Ministers, Dr Drew pledged to be a Prime Minister for all the people, including the citizens and residents on the sister island of Nevis.

In the general elections, the Concerned Citizens Movement, under the leadership of Premier Brantley, clean swept Nevis by securing all three seats. On the other hand, Dr Terrance Drew reached out to the chair of the Prime Minister by securing six out of eight seats of St Kitts. St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party emerged as a winning party in the elections. Â
