St Kitts and Nevis: In order to enhance and encourage the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis in the field of filmmaking and directing, Concerned Citizens Movement, led by Nevis Island Administration in collaboration with MSR Media, have organised a writer competition.

Through his social media post, Mark Brantley also declared that the winners of the writing competitions would get the chance to direct their own short films in Nevis. The film will be further supported by MSR Media.

Mark Brantley stated, “MSR MEDIA invites citizens of Saint Kitts and Nevis to submit a story synopsis for its writers’ competition! The winner will direct his or her own short film produced by MSR MEDIA.”

He said that the establishment of the film industry would help the country to create employment and generate economic activity in St Kitts and Nevis. It will also provide great exposure to the citizens in the field of filmmaking.

Further, he extended gratitude to MSR media and exclaimed,” We remain grateful to the excellent partnership with MSR Media, which continues to create employment and generate economic activity on Nevis and St Kitts and, of course, give us incredible exposure through films produced here.”

In addition to that, he asserted that the CCM government went into overdrive to create various other initiatives which helped to boost tourism during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“When others panicked, your CCM government went into overdrive to create alternatives to tourism during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

And now STOP THE PRESS. Showcase your talent,” underlined Premier Brantley.
